The Weibo account, "Shen Yu's Personal Assistant", gathered over 10,000 fans in just a day. Many comments were under the first post, begging Assistant-kun to give them more fan service.
You can't really blame the fans, especially since Shen Yu was extremely lazy on his social media platforms. There were even times when he would not update his Weibo for a month. Since he didn't have a team to help promote him, the fans could only look for his updates from here and there for their entertainment. With an officially recognised Assistant-kun now, there was no way the fans wouldn't blatantly ask for more content.
As Shen Yu's old fan of three years, An Wei had a deep understanding of his problem of lacking a team to solidify his fan base. After becoming his assistant, she immediately proposed to set up an independent Weibo account to post his daily life updates frequently and to interact with his fans. Naturally, Shen Yu had no objections to her suggestion and gave her full rein in this matter.
The photo of Shen Yu drinking coffee had a pretty good response from the fans. It was peaceful in the comment section, and everyone was praising him for his good looks. Of course, the fans had also unanimously picked on the unruly ahoge sticking out of his cap.
"I'm guessing our Assistant-kun is a young lady. After all, our Brother Yu is too much of a straight guy. He never uses filters in his photos."

An Wei had previously discussed the matter with Shen Yu regarding the issue and decided to avoid complicating the matter by not revealing the termination of his contract with his company. It was an afternoon, and the weather was especially hot that day. Shen Yu was still filming diligently, while An Wei was holding an umbrella, a water bottle, and a small hand-held fan, waiting. Shen Yu initially wanted to have her wait in the dressing room, but An Wei stubbornly refused.
"Brother Yu, that's not appropriate. I'm your assistant. This is my responsibility," An Wei was not ambiguous at all when it came to professionally related matters.
Speaking of which, it was her boss who assigned her to Brother Yu, and yet he had not contacted her to ask her about anything. "Stop thinking about it," An Wei shook her head and warned herself. Her boss had been in the industry for ten years; he had seen countless good-looking men in all sorts of styles, and there were no news or rumours regarding that. There was no way he would fall for Brother Yu just like this. Even if that were truly the case, it'd be between the two of them.
"Hahaha."
A burst of laughter suddenly erupted on the set. An Wei lifted her head to look and saw the little child star, who played the role of the young Jiu Yao, hugging Shen Yu and giving him a smooch. There was a wide smile on her face, showing her missing front teeth, her small dimples, and her smiling eyes. She was adorable, successfully making the whole crew on set laugh.
"Why did you kiss me?" Shen Yu couldn't help but rub the little girl's head.
"Because you are good-looking," the six-year-old actress, Ye Zi, answered without any hesitation. Her eyes were bright and twinkling as she looked at Shen Yu, causing another round of laughter among the crew.
"You are more good-looking," Shen Yu tapped her nose gently as he responded with a smile. He had always been weak against quirky kids like her. He had taken care of and taken blame many times for his own little sister when they were young, and he was also happy to do so.
"Brother Shen will definitely be a good dad in the future," the director teased.
"Brother Yu has always been good with kids. When the group of kids came to film as extras, all of them loved hanging around him," someone else added.
"Aw man, that's so cute. How about I stop acting as Jiu Yao and let Ye Zi do it for the whole series?" He Caicai, the daredevil who liked to see the world burn, joked.
"Ms. He, please wake up. Do you want me to act out a love scene with Ye Caicai?" Cui Ke, fortunately, remained logical and stopped He Caicai's delusional thoughts with a single sentence.
"Cough, cough. Next scene, next scene."
The staff quickly adjusted the set for the next scene as soon as Shen Yu and Ye Zi left the field. It was He Caicai's and Cui Ke's scene next. Shen Yu finally had time to take a breather. He took the bottle of water handed to him by An Wei and drank a few big gulps before going to a spot with shade to rest a little.
Shen Yu was in a pretty good mood as he asked, "I see you've been browsing Weibo a lot. What are you looking at?"
"I'm looking at the comments from yesterday's post," An Wei responded with a smile.
"What's funny?" Shen Yu could not understand.
"About half of them want to pull your ahoge."
Shen Yu was speechless.
He didn't tidy his hair properly yesterday, and a handful of his hair was left outside of his cap. It seemed like his fans wouldn't let him get over this any time soon.
"The ahoge is pretty cute. Like a gap moe." An Wei comforted him.
"It's fine, they can pull if they want to," Shen Yu smiled and shook his head, defeated. It wasn't like he disliked it. He merely found it weird how a 27, 28-year-old man like him was called cute by a group of young ladies.
"Erm, Brother Yu-"
"You can't pull."
Shen Yu quickly corrected himself. An Wei could only regret it internally before changing the subject.
"Brother Yu, many fans are asking what their daily fan service and stuff. Do you want to post something?"
"I'll leave it to you. I don't really know how to interact with the fans," Shen Yu pondered on it and decided to leave the responsibility to her.
Thankfully, An Wei didn't expect Shen Yu to come up with any suggestions in the first place. She looked through the photo album on her phone and showed Shen Yu the photo she had taken just now.
"Your interactions with Ye Zi were really good, so I quickly took a few photos. We can post some of these. What do you think?"
"You can ask the crew and Ye Zi's guardian for permission. Go ahead and post them if they have no issues with it. Remember to edit out the background," Shen Yu was not opposed to it, but they still had to get permission from the others.

Shen Yu was indeed very confident of An Wei's capabilities. An Wei had taken over his schedule and even greeted all the staff working on the film on the first day she took over as his assistant. The post was only accompanied by one photo. The background of the photo was edited and replaced by light. The six-year-old little girl had her arms wrapped around Shen Yu's neck, pampered, while Shen Yu was bending down indulgently as he smiled, gentleness oozing out from his expression.
There were already over ten comments when she refreshed the post.
"Omg what is this attack with gentleness? Why is my Brother Yu so handsome??"
"Don't you dare, Assistant-kun. I wanna kiss Brother Yu secretly, too. I'll treat Assistant-kun to a drumstick for sharing the photo."

Located in the office building on the 26th floor was a large office decorated with spotless floor-to-ceiling windows showing the outside scenery. It had a black and white grey-based decorative style, giving it a somewhat cold and sensible feel. Sitting behind the wide desk was Zhong Simo, who suddenly burst out laughing a couple of times when he was supposed to be reviewing documents.
"Are you slacking at work, Boss?" Mary, who was organising the documents and folders at the side, asked as she lifted her head.
"I think An Wei is pretty capable." Zhong Simo didn't answer her question.
"Oh, did something happen to Shen Yu?" Mary knew what he was up to. She had the urge to roll her eyes.
"You don't understand." Zhong Simo had succeeded in triggering Mary again.
"What do I not understand? Aren't you interested in Shen Yu?" There were thousands of words in her mind, but they merely translated to a long sigh. She finally understood why Boss had been focusing on Shen Yu so much in the past few days. But she would rather she didn't understand.
"Boss, An Wei told me yesterday that Shen Yu has already terminated his contract with his company. Why don't you sign him if you want to pursue him?"
"Am I that obvious?"
"Yes, extremely. I could tell with just a glance."
"Well, Shen Yu couldn't tell anyway," Zhong Simo shrugged and stopped talking.
