After nearly being done with organising his data and ensuring that everything is copied into his computer, Lu Chuiqing finally relaxes and stretches. He begins packing up his things to go home but before that, he has to stop by the shopping mall to buy some necessities for the next few days.
His eyes fall on the bookmark of Bo Da Materials’ official website on his internet browser again as he was about to turn off his computer.
Lu Chuiqing did not choose that company in the end. He is not familiar with the materials industry, especially the composite materials industry, making analysis extra complicated for him so he thought he should leave it to the more experienced researchers. However, Lu Chuiqing clearly remembers that the reputation of this particular company will somehow become extremely well-known in the future, so he wants to keep an eye out for it no matter what.
After clocking out of work, Lu Chuiqing takes the train and arrives at a bustling shopping plaza.

Being considerate of the customers’ privacy, the shop even prepared a separate cashier for goods in this room. The shop also makes sure not to use any transparent packaging for any of the products sold here. However, Lu Chuiqing’s skin is too thin and he gets too easily embarrassed. He cannot bring himself to shop for such items in the public, only shopping for them online if it is truly necessary.
Lu Chuiqing shops around casually, finally losing to his own curiosity and he goes inside to have a look.
Lu Chuiqing is still too embarrassed to go look at the corner where all the toys are, only looking around the aisles selling artificial pheromone perfumes.
When alpha and omega become mates, there is a certain reliance on each other’s pheromones. An omega is especially reliant on his mated alpha’s pheromones, more than half of the omegas will face signs of nesting during their heats after being marked by an alpha.
Lu Chuiqing had also occasionally experienced the phenomenon of nesting after his marriage to Chen Yuan in his previous life, but it was not common and only happened a couple of times. Before going to bed, Lu Chuiqing gathers all the items he may need and organises them tidily on his bedside table. He sprays a bit of the perfume he bought on his pillow and goes to bed at ease.
Perhaps due to the perfume, Lu Chuiqing dreamt of his honeymoon with Chen Yuan that night. Their honeymoon location was a popular honeymoon island overseas. Sunlight, ocean and the beach, everything was exactly what Lu Chuiqing had wanted.
Lu Chuiqing dreamt that he was diving, the water surrounding him heating up slowly, the warm ocean water embraced him, allowing his body to gradually relax.
Lu Chuiqing is woken up not long after by the heat. The blanket on him is in a bundled mess, his pyjamas soaked in sweat. The warmth he felt in his dream has indeed surrounded him, invading his body, transforming into the wet and warm viscous liquid flowing down between his legs.
Lu Chuiqing’s heat is here. There is no way Lu Chuiqing can sleep a wink tonight.
His first wave of heat only started to die down at five in the morning. Lu Chuiqing haphazardly puts on a sleeping robe, his eyes slightly red as he washes his massager at the sink. Although he has to use it again soon, it still needs to be kept clean.
Lu Chuiqing lets out a long sigh after washing and goes back to bed to lie down facing upwards. He leans on his pillow, sniffing at the fragrance of the pheromones.
The time Lu Chuiqing could stay fully conscious on the first day of his heat was not that long. When it died down, Lu Chuiqing would eat and drink loads of water to replenish his body, he may even be able to look at some gossip news that does not require too much brainpower. Once the wave starts again, he has to go back to bed giddily.
Unsure if it is a consequence of his long-term use of suppressants, Lu Chuiqing’s symptoms are exceptionally intense this time as compared to the past.
The unceasing wave of heat only faded a bit towards the end of the first day. Lu Chuiqing has almost finished a box of suppressants in just one day. Suppressants are not cheap. The thought of having to spend more on suppressants causes Lu Chuiqing to sigh begrudgingly, wondering just how much he would spend in this lifetime as an omega.
Lu Chuiqing’s symptoms have finally alleviated in the second and third days of his heat. He can basically go out in the afternoon on the third day of his heat. Due to his heat, Lu Chuiqing was not able to cook for himself properly for the past few days. Seeing that his fridge is completely empty, Lu Chuiqing decides to go out in the afternoon to do some grocery shopping.
However, Lu Chuiqing still needs to do some preparations before he goes out. Although his heat is basically over, his pheromones secretion is still unstable. Other than wearing his usual collar, he also wants to spray a bit of scent suppressant on himself just to be safe.
Just as he is changing his clothes, Lu Chuiqing receives a call from his mother. Lu Chuiqing picks up the call as he is rummaging through his drawers for this spray.
His mum naturally knows when Lu Chuiqing has his heat. She has been quite worried about the side effects Lu Chuiqing may have due to his long term use of pheromone suppressants, so she called to ask about his health. His mum starts talking about his cousin wedding next month again, specifically asking if he has time to attend the wedding. Although Lu Chuiqing wishes to go back too, he does not have any holidays left after the Labour Day holidays. He can only send back some presents and his regards.

Your dad and I understand that you prioritise your career over everything else, which I think is good too. You can get married after your career stabilises after all.”
This, Lu Chuiqing can fully agree with. Lu Chuiqing has yet to stabilise his career in this industry, so it is not the time for him to get distracted. If he gets to work up the career ladder in the future, he will not have to work overtime so frequently and will have more free time for his family too.
Lu Chuiqing continues his casual chit chat with his mum while he takes out the spray from the drawer and spraying a bit of it on the back of his neck.
Lu Chuiqing has thought that it was weird when he sprayed his neck. He looks down at the bottle, and sure enough, the spray he used was not his scent suppressant, but the alpha pheromones perfume.
Lu Chuiqing got gloomy for a few seconds. Such pheromones perfume usually lasts quite a while. Since it is an artificially made scent, a scent suppressant specifically made to cover the scent of natural pheromones does not really cover the scent from the perfume either.
As long as they are not betas, others can tell straight away whether or not it is a normal perfume or a pheromones perfume, especially since pheromones perfumes are often used to liven things up in the sexual aspect, so it does have that sort of implication. Unless there is a special need for it, going out with such a scent is not that appropriate.
Left with no choice, Lu Chuiqing can only try his best to wash off the scent with water and spray on his neck again with the correct suppressant to neutralise the scent before wearing his collar and prepares to go out.
Unexpectedly, just as Lu Chuiqing leaves his room, he hears someone trying to open the main door with a key irritably. The moment the door opens, Guan Xiaoluo stomps in angrily with his luggage in tow while talking on the phone.
Guan Xiaoluo shouted angrily, “Why do you care whether or not I’ve reached home or not? You might as well go on a vacation with your job!”
