After visiting Han Dong’s residence, the two went out for a meal together. “Where are you from?” Li Shang asked. Han Dong replied, “Inner Mongolia. You?” “I’m from Anhui. I came to Beijing for university and just graduated last year. Although I majored in sciences, I have always liked performing so I have always wanted to try it. Oh, right, is it true that Wang Baoqiang was scouted at the entrance of the Northern Film Studio?” “Stop daydreaming. How many lifetimes of good fortune do you think that was worth? Besides, Wang Baoqiang was not scouted by merely waiting at an entrance. He was a disciple of the Shaolin Temple, specialising in martial arts. And what skills do you have?” Li Shang countered him, “Then, why did you float along like this for so many years?” “That’s because I’ll become popular sooner or later.” Han Dong said with an unusual certainty. “How do you know if you’d become popular?” “I calculated it myself.” Li Shang asked jokingly, “Then, can you tell when you’ll become popular?” “Soon.” Han Dong wiped his mouth after eating and leaned back on his chair, his gaze proud, “It should be sometime this year.” Li Shang did not believe him but did not rebuttal him either. In hopes of getting an auspicious reading, too, he asked, “Then, can you tell if I’ll become popular?” Han Dong observed Li Shang for a moment before there was a sudden strange fluctuation in his gaze. In a half-joking tone, he said, “Not bad, little fellow. You do have a bit of fortune in becoming a star!” “Oh? How can you tell?” Li Shang asked with interest. Han Dong knocked on the rim of his bowl with his chopsticks as he answered, “That’s because you have a similar stature to mine.” Li Shang burst into a hearty laugh as he cupped his fist with his other hand, “Thank you, thank you.” Since he could not find suitable accommodation, Han Dong let Li Shang stay at his place temporarily. Off of Li Shang’s expectations, Han Dong, who was known to be petty and calculative, did not ask him for rent. Grandly and with justice, he said, “We’re buddies, it’s nothing.”
When they were tidying up the room at night, Li Shang nudged Han Dong, “Hey, let me ask you something. Since you have so many inflatable things in this room, you should have many of that thing, right?” “You mean a sex doll?” Han Dong asked without any qualms whatsoever, raising the heads of the other nine men in the room simultaneously. “What kind of joke is that?” Han Dong flicked Li Shang’s forehead, “I never lack the need of women. Why would I need one?” The shoulders of the other nine men in the room drooped in disappointment simultaneously. Because it was a new environment, as well as the lack of soundproofing, Li Shang suffered a little from insomnia. Han Dong was a simple-minded man so he fell right to sleep the moment his head touched the pillow. When Li Shang endured until about one in the morning and finally felt some sleepiness, Han Dong spoke faintly beside him. “Buddy from the door diagonally opposite of me, are you sure you can do it? You have been rubbing it for half an hour and you still haven’t shot.” The buddy diagonally opposite of him countered, “My cock is similar to yours, it has a slow temperament.” Li Shang was wild awake in an instant, “What the fuck, you guys are not sleeping yet?” The sound of breaths continued, no one responded. Li Shang turned his head, only to see Han Dong’s eyes closed and his breath even with absolutely no signs of having just woken up! He was startled, he couldn’t have been talking in his sleep, right? And that buddy who was diagonally opposite of them… was he also sleep-talking??? How the hell did they make a conversation out of it just like that? If that’s the case, how could he even continue living in such a place?
