“Turn, let me turn over, hic…”
Han Dong panted heavily, finally flipping over with a tumble and falling headfirst on the ground after struggling for so long. He quickly got to his feet and hurried towards the entrance of Northern Film Studio in large strides.
Unfortunately, the casting manager had already brought away the second wave of people.
Han Dong spat bitterly on the ground, an opportunity is not easy to come by! Some people may not get a single role even after camping here for a few days. Besides, the cast and crew start work at about seven or eight, so they were basically done with their recruitment at this time.
Just as Han Dong was about to leave, he saw a young lad smiling at him not far away.
“You’re new, aren’t you?” Han Dong asked.
Li Shang nodded, “Yeah, I heard others talking about you so I want to get to know you.”
“And what did they say about me?”
Li Shang admitted, “They said that you have a bad personality.”
Han Dong raised his eyebrow, “And you still want to get to know me?”
“Because I have a bad personality, too,” Li Shang smirked.
Han Dong took out a cigarette, hinting at Li Shang to light it up for him. He took a puff as he asked, “You want in?”
Li Shang nodded.
“You’ve found the right person, then.”
Han Dong dragged Li Shang onto the road and took a turn at the crossing on the side not long after.
Han Dong was long gone when Liang Jing arrived with his car. Not giving up, Liang Jing even asked his driver to drive around the surrounding area. Catching no sight of Han Dong, Liang Jing felt so anxious that he could almost feel himself spitting blood.
“Where? Where did he go?” he asked softly.
Tao Yunyun probed, “Who?”
“That person who was hanging upside down on this fence right here, just now. That butt, those thighs… they’re exactly what CEO Wang is looking for! I was so excited, how did he…” Liang Jing sighed incessantly.
Tao Yunyun asked awkwardly, “Have you been overworking yourself recently, to the point of hallucinating?”
Liang Jing suddenly caught sight of something and hurried towards the fence in a couple of steps. He pulled down a torn denim, the loose threads at the edges of the fabric were in a complete mess.
“I was definitely not mistaken!” Liang Jing turned his head towards the driver and said, “Send Yunyun to the company, there’s something I need to settle so I’ll go ahead.”
Tao Yunyun exclaimed, “No! I’ll be nervous without you!”
Liang Jing had already jumped over the fence and dashed more than ten meters away.
……
Since Tao Yunyun arrived ten minutes early, and her benefactor had not returned yet, she was invited in to wait in his office.
Tao Yunyun was shocked by a dazzling array of watch faces in front of her the moment she stepped into the office. A pendulum clock that was over three meters high, a delicate pocket watch that was as small as a button; the most ancient one being the duplex pocket watch from the Qing dynasty, and the newest one being the newest design in the latest trend… As she walked further in, there were shelves standing at five meters and two meters tall, displaying a variety of valuable wristwatches.
Tao Yunyun caught sight of a meshed hollow wristwatch. It only had a mesh and no watch hands, even a coal briquette with a honeycomb pattern was easier to understand than this.
When she turned around, the computer’s screensaver was filled with a strange clock face with three circles.
That was nothing compared to what she realised next. Tao Yunyun suddenly noticed that this room was filled with numbers everywhere. Some were blatantly on display, while others were not so obvious, even the pendant on the crystal lamp had numbers on it. She stood in the middle of the room and looked up, only to see another gigantic clock face! She felt as if she had entered a game room and was playing a game called “Let’s count how many clockfaces there are here”.
Apart from that, there was even a power switch with morse code printed on it, a mug in the shape of roman numerals…
Tao Yunyun was speechless and wondered inwardly just how madly obsessed was this man with numbers?!
Thinking back on his requirements for the role as a male lead, it all became clear.
